Tahmasb Mazaheri, the former presidrnt of the Central Bank of the I. R. of Iran (CBI) resighed on September 20th, after clashing with President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad over economic policies, to be replaced by the bank’s general secretary, Dr. Mahmoud Bahmani.

Bahmani had been a member of borad of Bank Melli Iran before September 2007, and comed along to the CBI after invitaion of Mazaheri for the bank’s general secretary position.
