New Banknotes (1,000,000 and 2,000,000 Rials Bearer Cheque) in circulation
The Central Bank of the Islamic Rep. of Iran (CBI) to issue 2nd and 3rd denominations of new generation of bearer cheques with denomination of 1,000,000 Rials and 2,000,000 Rials.
The 1,000,000 Rials denomination is printed and put into circulation on September and the highest one will relaese in the October.
They are high value banknote-like billets that may use in absence of high denomination banknotes in Iranian banking system. They have all security features of high value banknotes and are so-called "Banknote-like".
The former president of CBI (Dr. Tahmasb Mazaheri) has signed all new billets and the 1,000,000 Rials one has a picture of Tachar palace, Takht-e- Jamshid monument, the capital of the great ancient Iranian Empire, Shiraz city.
The picture on the 2,000,000 Rials cheque is a view of Kaaroun III dam and power-plant complex; one of the greatest engineering projects of power electricity in Iran, located in Khouzestan province.
P.S: All cheques get seals via rubber stamps on the banks, selling time, that showed branch and code of the bank and the date of sale; but I can offer non-sealed cheques in case of requests.
